Eight teams have convinced the jury of KIC-Europe’s flagship programme, KIC-Autobahn, masterfully realized by KIC-Europe’s staff and its official mentors (meet our mentors here).
More than 25 startups and prospective teams applied to become a part of the first batch of the KIC-Autobahn Programme. They were attracted by the opportunities of getting support for their internationalization strategy, the validation of their business idea as well as benefiting from world-class mentorship from angel investors, startup coaches and industry experts.
On March 4th, 20 preselected applicants faced KIC-Europe’s jury members, including 7 nationalities and prominent experts in their own fields such as Ángel García, Partner of Startupbootcamp Barcelona ore the managing director Kaloyan Ratchev of Segments accelerators from Vienna .
They focused particularly on the business modelling, business pivoting and fast-track access to new markets. The 20 startups presented very prominent business ideas, but finally KIC-Europe selected 8 startups that have a true business potential and a truly scalable business model.
KIC-Autobahn is a tailored opportunity for Korean startups willing to expand to the pan-European markets, offering networking with big businesses and corporations, connections to international investors and policy makers. The Programme will include round-table discussions and startup pitches, offering a unique chance to conquer the European early stage funding market. The selected applicants will benefit from an exclusive roadshow in Europe, featuring 2 intimate events to pitch their products, services and technologies to European investors and corporations.
Our 8 selected companies are widespread in multiple verticals such as Mobile application, E-health, Smart tech, Wearables, Fintech, Green tech, Creatives, IoT, Cybersecurity and SaaS.
The selected teams differ in terms of maturity stage as well as in terms of the vertical sector they are targeting.
